The bond between children and dogs is truly remarkable, and this particular one is no exception. What sets it apart is that it involves a toddler and a massive Cane Corso weighing 125 pounds, which is nearly as big as a miniature horse. Despite the size difference, Drax and his little human sibling are the best of friends. Fortunately, the furry companion is a gentle giant, considering he’s over a hundred pounds heavier than his pint-sized buddy. They have been inseparable since they were young and enjoy doing everything together.
When Drax was only six weeks old, he became a part of the family. However, his human mom soon became pregnant with her first child. As Drax grew, so did his mom’s belly, and he remained by her side throughout the pregnancy. When the baby was finally born, the two were cautiously introduced under careful supervision from their parents. Drax was a large dog, so they had to desensitize him before the introduction. Fortunately, they had nothing to worry about as Drax was gentle with the tiny baby right from the start.
Drax developed an instant fondness for the newborn and became his constant companion, sitting by his tiny feet and keeping an eye on his every move. He even picked up some of the baby’s tricks, including rolling over. As time passed, Drax grew to a whopping 125 pounds in just one year. Despite his size, he still fancies himself as a lap dog and loves to play with the baby’s toys, particularly the balls. Fortunately, the baby is more than happy to share, and they both relish their playtime together. Drax also gets to accompany the family to the park and treats it like his own playground. His love for his little brother knows no bounds, and everyone adores his sweet and playful nature.
Drax and the little one celebrated their first Christmas in each other’s company. They joyously met Santa for the first time, marking yet another exciting first for these two adorable friends.
