As he was wandering around Sarajevo in Bosnia, a man who chose to remain anonymous with only the name Mark, was compelled by an unfamiliar sound of whimpering. Along the way, he spotted a box made from cardboard tucked away amidst the trees, so he decided to check it out. To his surprise, he found four helpless puppies crowded together in the dirt, emitting pitiful sounds and begging for assistance.
As per The Dodo’s report, Lisa, the wife of Mark, shared that her partner never had the thought of leaving the puppies behind. Before embarking on their journey around the globe, the couple, who goes by the name The Nomadic Canadians, resigned from their jobs and sold their house. While staying in a rented apartment in Sarajevo, Mark stumbled upon these adorable puppies. Luckily, the owner of the rental property allowed them to keep the puppies temporarily while they figured out what to do.
Managing four active puppies in a small space posed a considerable challenge for Lisa and Mark. The adorable pups needed attention every few hours, so Lisa and Mark had to take turns sleeping to monitor them. Although they tried hard to keep the puppies entertained, it was a daunting task. Lisa and Mark were fond of the puppies, but realized that bringing them on their trip was not feasible. They were stuck and unsure how they could find someone willing to adopt these furry friends in a foreign country.
Lisa admitted that she was having a hard time figuring out what to do next in light of the many options available. Over the following six days, they went through various emotions. Despite feeling heartbroken from the dogs’ abandonment, they were grateful for finding them, anxious about the next steps, happy to spend time with them, sleep-deprived, scared and stressed about not being able to find a solution. However, they remained hopeful and determined, not wanting to give up on the dogs as Lisa and her partner had experienced the pain of losing their own dog, Kelso, three years prior.
Lisa professed her unwavering love for dogs and made it clear that she could never abandon her furry companions. One day, while she was walking some puppies outside of her apartment complex, a family from the neighborhood took an interest in them and decided to give them a forever home. The family helped in finding a suitable place for the puppies to stay, and after some searching, they found Save the Animals Now, a shelter with ample space. Lisa was overjoyed to see that the puppies would be well taken care of and couldn’t help but shed tears of happiness. She believed that everything had happened for a reason, and luck played a part in bringing the family and the rescue organization together.
After a while, the cheerful duo received some delightful news. The four puppies that they had saved had all been placed in caring homes and were eagerly waiting to join their new families. Their efforts had made a significant difference and brought about a happy conclusion that would have been impossible otherwise. These furry friends, who were once abandoned by the roadside, were finally going to receive the affection and care that they had always deserved.
