“From Déjà Vu to Daring Fashion: Jennifer Aniston’s Replica Valentino Gown Makes a Comeback on The Morning Show”

Jennifer Aniston experienced a feeling of familiarity on The Morning Show when she wore a gown that resembled an outfit she had previously worn 13 years ago. The 54-year-old actress, who stars alongside Reese Witherspoon in the widely popular Apple TV+ series, donned a dress that looked strikingly similar to one she had previously worn to a red carpet event. Even though it was a replica, it was still a reminder of her past fashion choices.

Now and then: Jennifer Aniston wore a re-creation of her 2010 Golden Globe Awards dress for episode seven of her series The Morning Show

Back in January 2010, an unforgettable gown was revealed at the Golden Globe Awards. This dress was remarkable because of its low-cut front and a daringly high slit up one side. Jennifer caused quite a stir amongst the spectators with her stunning youthful appearance, despite being 40 years old at the time – she could have easily passed for someone in their thirties. Interestingly, the year 2010 also marked the end of her relationship with John Mayer, who is best known for his hit song “My Body Is A Wonderland”.

The dress made its appearance in the seventh episode of the show. In this episode, Alex, played by Aniston, and her friend Chris, portrayed by Nicole Beharie, attend a fancy event hosted by fashion designer Valentino and creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli. Alex looks stunning in a one-shoulder dress. Interestingly, during the fitting, Aniston requested to wear a specific dress that Valentino designed for her back in 2010 for the Golden Globes. One of the costume designers for the show, Debra Maguire, revealed this information to People magazine.

She went to Pierpaolo to see if they could create a dress that Jennifer Aniston wanted to wear in an episode of The Morning Show. To her surprise, they agreed to make the dress, which turned out to be very Jen, very Alex, and very Valentino. Her co-star, Nicole Beharie, also wore a Valentino dress that was part of the PP Pink Collection and had been worn by Kristen McMenamy during Paris Fashion Week in March 2022. The show’s costume designer, Sophie De Rakoff, aimed for a cohesive look for the Valentino Gala scene and found the perfect dress for Nicole that would work for the character and the actress. The Morning Show is currently available for streaming on Apple TV+.

Aniston recently shared her secrets to staying fit and healthy in her 50s. In an interview with CR Fashion Book, the Marley & Me star revealed that she maintains her toned physique by following four simple rules. These include drinking plenty of water, exercising daily, eating whole and fresh foods, and getting enough sleep. Although sleep can be challenging for her, Aniston recognizes its importance and how it affects her overall well-being. She also emphasizes the need for mindfulness and being selective about what she allows into her headspace, which may include reducing her exposure to negative news.
