A viral video on social media depicts a heart-wrenching scene of a small puppy struggling to eat. The poor creature cried uncontrollably in between bites, due to days of hunger.
It is unclear why this solo canine is wandering around without a permanent abode or a caretaker to take care of him. This small dog has lost his way and is unaware of where he should go. He roams the streets by himself, gradually becoming exhausted as he tries to find sustenance and hydration. His search for food and water leaves him famished and parched.
Luckily, the little pooch stumbled upon a passerby who offered it a piece of bread. The canine was visibly shivering and weak from days of starvation. However, it didn’t immediately devour the food. Instead, it whimpered while nibbling on the cake.
After witnessing the pitiful state of the dog, the individual chose to take it under their wing and provide it with the necessary care. The previous owner brought the dog home and promptly took it to the hospital for an assessment and tests. The dog was visibly exhausted from prolonged malnourishment and had several injuries and parasites on its body. Thankfully, the test results were not alarming, and with some extra attention, the dog should recuperate quickly.
Gunnar’s owner has given him an absolutely adorable name. The pup is being nourished to recover from his illness in accordance with the vet’s instructions. Despite a challenging life, Gunnar has finally found a new loving family that pampers and cares for him. Gone are the days of him shivering, sick and defeated. Now Gunnar can run, play, and catch the ball with his owner, and he looks healthier and happier than ever before. Thanks to this lucky encounter, Gunnar’s life has taken a new direction, full of care, love, and triumph over his fear of crowds.
It would be expected that the transformation of the cute little pup wouldn’t come as a shock to those who take a glimpse of its previous image. Unless mentioned, nobody would have identified him as the same dog who once had numerous scars all over his body due to starvation.
It came as a surprise that Gunnar could express his feelings while being aided by others. Despite not being the most attractive dog, the owner chose to keep him after witnessing him make a small gesture.
